Introduction and Objectives

To promote environmental practices among the manufacturing and services enterprises in Hong Kong and the Pan Pearl River Delta (PRD) region and reduce pollution in these areas, the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) and Bank of China (Hong Kong) (BOCHK) have organised the BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards Programme since 2015.

The BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards 2018 Prize Presentation and 2019 Launching Ceremony
The ceremony was successfully held on 29 May 2019, with HKSAR Secretary for the Environment Mr Wong Kam-sing as the Guest-of-Honour. The 2018 Awards Programme saw a record-breaking number of nearly 650 participating enterprises accomplished close to 1,600 green projects. Also, it has newly set up the SME Award and the Belt and Road Environmental Leadership Recognition Award. It is exciting to see that the number of participating SMEs increases from 60 to 164.

BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards 2018 Final judging
BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards 2018 Final judging was successfully held on 7 March 2019. The Gold, Silver and Bronze award winner of manufacturing sector and services sector, Belt and Road Environmental Leadership Recognition Award, and newly added SME Award as well as Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Environmental Leadership Recognition Award were selected by the panel. The award ceremony will be held on 29 May 2019.

Hong Kong/Macao: A manufacturing business which employs fewer than 100 persons in Hong Kong/Macao; or a non-manufacturing business which employs fewer than 50 persons in Hong Kong/Macao.

The Mainland: A manufacturing business which employs fewer than 500 persons in the Mainland; or a non-manufacturing business which employs fewer than 250 persons in the Mainland.

Its parent company (if applicable) and itself should NOT be a listed company. The “number of persons employed” incudes individual proprietors, partners and shareholders who are actively engaged in the work of the company; and salaried employees of the company, including full-time or part-time salaried personnel directly paid by the company, both permanent and temporary, at the time of submitting the applications.
